Search and Rescue Liability Insurance
As a newly incorporated society of volunteers it is essential that our directors, officers, members, and others working on behalf of the society  are protected from liability.  The Search and Rescue National Insurance Program is specifically designed for groups such as ours.  Annual coverage under this program is a high priority and urgent need.

Equipment Trailer (Customization and accessories)
Having the right equipment on hand to respond to whatever situation an incident might require is essential to timely and effective response.  We require the capability to transport all of our equipment to each incident to be prepared for any eventuality.

Initial Response Team Pack Contents
In a typical incident initial response teams must be in the field rapidly and prepared to be self-sufficient for at least 24 hours.  The team shelter, food, water, first aid, and communications must all be met with what they carry in personal packs and in a grab-and-go 'team' pack'.  We have recently established one pack and now require one for a second team.

Digital Camera (With accessories)
Search Managers and leaders are always seeking improvement in search and rescue systems and techniques.  Digital photos of  various aspects of an incident can greatly improve the quality/accuracy of debriefs, provide the basis for training, and be used in public awareness and promotion.

PFD's
OOSAR is frequently called upon for water related search and recovery incidents.  We are in need of several PFD's to ensure our safety and effectiveness during these incidents.

Search and Rescue personnel use expensive VHF radios on restricted channels when on an incident.  For training, intra-team communications, and for monitoring possible lost-person distress calls, less expensive, high quality, GMRS radios would be ideal.
